"Harriet's Story" is a handmade, one of a kind assemblage offers piece. It features a vintage glass slide from the mid-1930s with a built-in LED to illuminate it when desired. The glass slide came from an unusual collection of medical ephemera from a hospital in Rochester, NY. The box is a reclaimed cigar box, with shelves I added for elements and other items affixed to it. The LED light runs on commonly found batteries and can easily be replaced as needed- you just twist it slightly to turn the light on or off.

The assemblage also has vintage photos, old poetry, sheet music, and washi tape to add accents. The paper on the art is sealed with matte medium.
