Another opportunity to roll your something old, something new, and something blue all into one!

This baby-blue stunner was created from vintage piece of costume jewelry. The starring brooch features 16 large blue rhinestones, 11 of which are round brilliants and five of which are top-quality emerald-cuts. This stones are in excellent vintage condition: they are very sparkly and incredibly even and clean in real life. Only one RB appears to be dimmed a bit by age, but I don't think it's noticeable - see pictures (I have positioned it at the bottom of the comb).

I have included a number of images in different lighting so you can see its fire and coloration; I think the 1st and 2nd are the most true-to-life in terms of color (a lighter blue). I was trying to think of the right word to compare the color to -- they're not quite the color of London topazes (which is a little more cyan) or Montana sapphires (slightly more purple).

I've removed the pin offers mechanism from the back of this brooch, and attached it at a slight angle to an silver-plated hair comb so that it slides gracefully into your hair. The brooch itself measures about 1-1/2" x 1-1/2". With comb, the entire piece is 1-1/2" x 2". Please note that it is a substantive comb with lift, which will work best in an updo with some volume to "grip" into.
