A delightful antique early to mid 20th Century white ironstone butter pot complete with its original lid, which would have been part of a larger picnic set.

This ironstone butter pot has the word '"Butter" indented across the top of its screw top aluminium lid. Having formed part of a larger picnic set, which were often strapped to cars for trips out, it is rare to find these as they are often badly damaged.

The pot is in fair overall condition. Most notably, there is a hairline crack on the front of the pot which has stained. However, this crack is stable and the pot has no other damage. There is also crazing on the pot, which has stained more near the front side of the pot.

This picnic butter pot has been priced to reflect its condition. And it is nonetheless still a great and unique addition to an ironstone or kitchenalia collection.
