The bone statuette with reddish brown patina represents with stylized realism a female figure with conical breasts, sitting with a child in her arms, below her the three-sided base offers shows 3 faces. All figures, except the child, have ornamental scars.

Brought from Rwanda by my father-in-law in 1988, the statuette had handwritten hippopotamus bone, but I don't know exactly when it dates back.
