Libyan Desert Glass is a natural glass that is found in the Eastern Great Sand Seas of Egypt. The natural glass is the result of an asteroid or comet impact with Earth. Sufficient heat and pressure from the impact melts and fuses the glass to the surface of the ground. Libyan Desert glass varies in colors, and transparencies. They make beautiful gem stones that are out of this world.
