Description

Product Name: Chinese hand painted trinket dish with a green and a blue dragon (announcers of spring!), offers probably 1930s-1950s, really nice colours!

An unusually shaped oval trinket dish or small bowl with an open rim (rectangular shapes and circular ‘dots') and a medaillon showing a green and a blue dragon offers in the center.

The colours are equally unusual for Chinaware - Macao porcelain? - especially the added yellow is notable.

These dragons announce the arrival of Spring, as far as I understood. The dish is in an excellent shape: no chips whatsoever, and the decoration has barely any traces of wear.

Size: 26cm long (10.2 inches), about 18cm wide, and 4cm high. It really is a lovely piece.
