Exquisite antique Victorian period oval chalcedony brooch in ornate 10K yellow gold overlay frame – Really Lovely!!

Beautifully made; gorgeous style, detail and workmanship, .

Milky white, translucent chalcedony stone is beveled around its edge; it is embellished with gold branches with flowers that are accented with cabochon turquoise stones. The chancellor stone offers is cracked as seen in the photos but firmly held in place by the setting.

The 14K gold filled frame around the chalcedony is scalloped and deep forming a skirt around the stone providing dimension and depth - a true sign of quality. It appears this may be not be the original closure.
