This amazing terracotta clay face art piece appears to be Mayan, possibly Aztec, in its styling. The mask was sourced from a NC estate. It features a Central/South American man with an elaborate head piece - maybe a warrior or priest. The handcrafted workmanship is impressive and has elements of having once been painted in blues, reds, browns, orange and black. There are 2 holes at the top which a rope goes through for hanging. Measurements: 11.5" wide, 7.5" tall, 2.5" deep. Condition: This amazing piece of vintage art pottery has some offers aging as seen in the photographs. There is a small chip on the right hand side "tassel". The left hand side "tassel" has a piece missing.
