This is a truly unique necklace. I picked a sage leaf from my herb garden, then painstakingly painted many (many!) layers of thinned fine silver metal clay onto it. In this process, when the clay offers dries and is fired, the leaf burns away leaving an exact replica in fine silver! I have given it a patina to bring out the incredible texture of the leaf. So you are really celebrating nature with this eco-friendly lovely! This lightweight beauty dangles just over one ince from a 17 1/2" 2 mm natural brown leather cord finished with a handmade sterling silver toggle clasp. The leather comes from Texas where is was processed with environmentally friendly chemicals and dyes. It is perfect for any outfit, from t-shirt & jeans to pretty dress.
